Designated Gifts
There are many ways that you can designate your charitable donations. Below are some giving opportunities for your consideration:
Area of Greatest Need – Help Good Sam address critical priorities beyond what is simply mandated and reimbursed by insurance. The most important of which is our commitment to provide care to anyone in need, regardless of ability to pay.
Center for Caring – The Center for Caring will be a 16-bed inpatient facility with space for family members to stay overnight as needed, family meeting rooms, a chapel and gardens. The Center will also serve as a permanent home for our home hospice teams, include a community bereavement center, and accommodate administrative offices.
Palliative Care Program – Good Samaritan's Palliative Care Program is specialized medical care for people living with serious illness. This type of care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness and can be provided at any stage of an illness, along with treatment meant to cure. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.
The Care Fund – This fund was established to go above and beyond our normal services by providing special experiences and services important for the patient's comfort and peace of mind. Perhaps it is a special dinner to celebrate an anniversary... Travel expenses for out-of-town family members... Pampering with a spa day... All designed to create lasting memories and happiness.

Tribute Gifts
Through memorials and tributes, you can honor your loved one’s memory and create a lasting legacy by ensuring that your family, friends and neighbors always have access to the same compassionate care and support when facing a life-impacting illness.
Gifts in Memory
Memorial gifts are a lasting remembrance of a special person whom you wish to honor. If a donation is given in memory of a Good Samaritan patient, the patient’s family will be notified of the gift in memory of their loved one. The donor’s name and address will be included in the notification leaving the amount confidential.
Gifts in Honor
Honor a living person by giving a gift to help terminally ill patients in our community. You might choose to honor a compassionate caregiver or celebrate someone’s birthday or special occasion.

Recurring gifts are an easy, automatic way to support Good Sam in a way that works for your budget and schedule. It is convenient and customizable, and helps ensure a steady source of funding for Good Sam.
Additional Ways to Support
Workplace Giving
United Way - If your employer conducts a United Way campaign, you may direct your contribution by entering “Good Samaritan Hospice” in the “Other” category (with a minimum contribution of $50 per year).
Corporate Matching Gifts - Many employers will match the gift their employees make to Good Sam – you may be able to double the value of your gift! Check with your human resources department to see if they offer a charitable contribution matching gift program. Some businesses will even match donations made by retirees and/or spouses.
Corporate Sponsorships

Every time you shop at your local Kroger store, remember to use your Shopper’s Card and have a positive impact while you shop! If you would like to support Good Sam, see below for the instructions.
Be sure to have your Shopper’s Card handy and follow these simple instructions:
- Sign up for a digital Kroger Rewards account at https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards
If you already have a digital account, simply link your Shopper’s Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose - Link your Card to our organization.
Search “Good Samaritan Hospice” or enter NPO # 85352 to select us as your choice. - Click “Save” - that’s it! Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you.
